We started slowly and the ball wasn't sticking up front for us which slowly gave Tranmere confidence so it was no surprise when they took the lead. This woke is up and slowly but surely we got hold of the game and deservedly went in 2-1 up at half time.

Another goal by Chambers and a penalty by Peschi finally put paid to Tranmere but it wasn't one of our better display's but saying that it was still great to see quite a few of the lads who normally don't start get decent run outs.

Credit to Johnny PNE for stepping in for the absent Chris Hall and to the two lads who partnered Chris Chambers in each half ; Peschi and Jimmy and of course credit to the goal machine himself Chris Chambers. Finally thanks to all the lads who came today and to Jason who is showing a maturity way beyond his years.

Just a mention on your skills school as you lads put it; week in week out i get you to do basic exercise's on trapping the ball with different parts of your body and then looking up and then moving the ball on quickly. I do this to try and improve you game, yet some of you don't take it seriously in training and it showed today.

It's up to you guys if you want to improve or not. I really value those sessions and even now at 53 i still try to improve on my first touch all good players try to improve that's what makes them good players. Yet, some people think it's joke but the joke is on you at the end of the day as you will always struggle to pass the ball to a team mate if you don't get it under control first time and that happen quite a few times today
