I like the Shrewsbury Town lads. Their never say die attitude and the way they conduct themselves is first class. They are an absolute credit to their football club and I will be writing to Shrewsbury Town to tell them that on Monday. Also the way they turn out all in the Shrewsbury Town kit is well impressive well done lads.

As for the game it's self we did what we had to do to win it, we have played better but Shrewsbury never gave us time on the ball and again that's credit to them, but the real star of the game was their keeper! He was simply outstanding and it had to be something really special to beat him. Matty's cry of "I meant it, I meant it" as his shot flew over the keepers head from fully 40 yards is debatable but it was greeted with much relief from the rest of the team.

I thought we would push on after that but the same player Matty Scott was again involved this time at the other end as he gave away a penalty to let Shrewsbury Town back into the game.

After that we did push on and as two great chances went begging you thought that was it but a sublime bit of skill from the old master lol as he danced round two Shrewsbury players before laying one on a plate for Sturat to blast home the winner was enough to win us the game. The Shrewsbury lads came back at us once more but in the end they just ran out of time.

It was a pulsating game and a pleasure to play in.

A few other mentions as well; I thought Bob the keeper had his best game yet and he is slowly getting up to speed with the rest of the lads, well done mate.

Chats at right back had another good game in that position well done mate.

Wacker works his bollocks of for us and he is an honest player. Well done mate.

Matty Scott; Matty did well today, sometimes he over elaborates with his passing instead of keeping it simple but he is now becoming a big player for us!

Chris Chambers; It wasn't Chris game today regarding scoring goals but he's always a threat and against a lesser keeper than the guy that Shrewsbury had in nets would have scored at least two or three.

All the rest of the lads put a good shift in, in what was a difficult surface to play on, but it’s another win for us and we are still the team to catch.
