Credit must go the Burnley lads in this game. Saying that I felt we were in control for most of it and had some decent chances but if you don't put your chances away as they say then eventually you will pay the price and we nearly did only for their goal to be rightly ruled offside.

I thought some of my more experienced lads weren't at their best today and when we did have the ball we did not choose the right options. We just lacked a bit of quality throughout the team today especailly in the final third, our effort was good but we just didn't make all our possession really count.

Credit like i say goes to Burnley who's game plan on jason seem to frustrate him but saying that Jason usually loves a challenged like that but he was suffering a bit with the thigh strain he received in training on Wednesday. It was also good to get everybody on the pitch and they all deserved to come on as the lads who were chosen had ample time to impose themselves on the game.

Thanks as always to the Burnley lads for their attitude, their efforts and the respect they show me and my team. We know they look up to us and i know they are not far of pushing us right to the wire like they did today. So well in Burnley lads.

As for us i just think a few of my lads were off the pace today and we didn't do the easy things well. WE need to move the ball on quicker than we are and we need to stretch teams more instead of going through the minefield down the middle of the park Saying that we also created some decent chances but our inability to make all our chances count is one day going to catch up with us.

However we did enough to win the game and just about deserved to so well in lads and lets move on now to the next game and like i say it will be just as tough next week away at Grimsby. So lets keep focused and prepare ourselves right as next weekend approaches and lets have a good training session this coming Wednesday.
