North End welcomed Bury B to Moor Park for the 10:30 kick-off. The match was a friendly game, with both teams having weekend off from the IFA.

Preston fielded a experimental team, with some players playing in different positions. This match was more of a learning curve for the big game the following Saturday against QPR.

Bury came to Preston with a strong team who bossed North End all over the pitch. Bury ran out 4-1 winners in the end after some good finishing.

Johnny Kershaw scored North End's only goal from a close range header. PNE manager Steve Cowell got a good understanding towards his players as he now looks forward to the QPR match.
