Preston North End welcomed the PNE casual team to Springfield's for a practice match ahead of WorldNET 2006. The first team eventually won the game 12-2, after some entertaining football from both sides.

Des got the ball rolling for the lads in blue, tapping the ball in off the post from close range. Cue wild celebrations from Desmond.

North End went on to score more goals before half time, to make it 5-0 at the break. Nick playing on the right side of midfield, found himself inside the box and chipped Jimmy in the casual net.

Andy grabbed 5 goals in total, his best coming in the second half, a sweet volley from Steve's cross.

Chris didn't have much to do in the Preston goal, until he unfortunately slipped to let the ball roll past him. Shaun for the casuals smashed the ball home from his goal goal line.

Johnny Wallace grabbed a hat-trick, his first for the team as more goals followed. Steve added another for the home team. Tim added another goal after a mazy run into the box.

The casual team pulled another goal back from the penalty spot, which didn't harm the home side. Jason came on in the second half, his pace ripped the casuals to bits adding two more goals to the tally.

Overall it was a good work out for both teams, fitness and organization showed as Preston one the match comfortably.

The deadly trio, 7 goals between them.
