Bury 16-0 PNE

First Half

The team gets off to a good start. Playing against Bury FC supporters team. They've been together for over and year which was an advantage. With the team playing neat football, they had some great chances to score. The closest shot on goal was a long range effort which rebounded off the cross bar.

Second Half

We had a slight advantage with the wind being behind us in the second half, as we look to grab that allusive first goal

Virtex had a good chance to bag his first goal for the team, but shot just wide of the right post from 15 yards. It was a pass from mike, ball over the top to the centre midfield to flanny who played it to Johnny Macken who then passed it across to virtex who dragged wide from 15 yards out

At times, PNE played some good one touch football. In the end the fitness and skill showed for Bury as they ran out 16-0 winners. There was no shame amongst the PNE players, everyone thoroughly enjoyed the day out. A special thanks to the Bury team for arranging the fixture and to Surf and co for sorting our team out.

About the game it's self. Bury's confidence grew after their poor start but that should give us confidence. We showed we could play football when we had the chance and we always looked to pass our way through the game but lacked match fitness which cost us in the end. At times i thought Bury lacked the team ethic that we had. In that first 20 mins they were quick to get on each others back if somebody made a mistake which i found suprising and it was only after they scored a couple of goals that they stopped shouting at one another.

When the team gets some training sessions together and some match practice, the results will come.
