Ipswich Town 1-5 Preston North End

The beauty of playing in this league is the memories you get from the day it's self. Football matches are soon forgot but in this league it's not just about the match it's about the all occasions and Saturday was another one of those special occasions.

The Ipswich Town manager Jim Magilton hadn’t forgot how to play when he entered the field of play and definitely looked the part but saying that I thought the girls that came also look the part LOL and joined in the sprit of the occasion by getting stripped LOL putting on the full kit along with the rest of the lads. Joking apart I thought we all looked great in our new kit and its little things like that that's makes us a special team. Well done to everybody on that score.

As for the game; I never felt we were in any trouble, yes Ipswich had their moments but I new we could step it up a gear if we had to. Our passing was better than of late and we knocked it around well at times. The introduction of Ipswich Town manager Jim Magilton orchestrated by yours truly lifted the Ipswich team for a while but is departure ended any real prospects of Ipswich getting anything out of the game.

Goals by Andy Dodwell and Jimmy Higgins put us comfortably in front. A goal by Ipswich just after half time just spurred us on to better things and in the end we ran out comfortable winners by 5 goals to 1.
