Bury 1-2 Preston North End

It was good to get back to winning ways albeit not one of our best performances but considering half the team was missing then it as to be a good win. Thanks to Bury B for their efforts and we could not have argued if they had snatched a draw out of the game.

One of the reasons we managed to hang on was the performance of Martin at centre back, I thought he was outstanding and thoroughly deserved his man of the match award. Well done Martin. As for the game it's self I thought we controlled the first half and should have been more than one in front I thought we played within ourselves and we were quite comfortable going in at half time.

Like last week we gave a goal away and the game changed on its head and Bury will consider themselves unlucky not to have gone in front. We had to change it around after that to try and get Bury on the back foot to take the pressure of us and I think it worked as we managed to score another and look strong as the game drew to a close.

Thanks lads for your efforts especially the new lads who both did really well.
