Barnsley 1-3 Preston North End

The first half an hour was best forgotten from our point of view it just didn't happen for us and to make matters worse we also found ourselves a goal down after a great strike by their lad! However unlike our professional manager I don't worry about changing things around early if it aint working and at that particular time it certainly wasn't working for us, so, I decided to push Stuart up front from his full back position. It paid off, as near enough straight away he grabbed us the equaliser.

The same player then went on to grab two more in the 2nd half to complete his hat trick. From a Managers point of view i was chuffed to bits that this positional change worked out so well for us. I also thought in the second half we began to get the ball down and play like i know we can play! I know we have it in us to play like that but for one reason or another it's not been happening this season but yesterday second half performance as given me and hopefully give the team a bit of self confidence back.

Credits to Johnny PNE for his second half performance, Stuart Bolton for his three goals (no you can't have the match ball seeing you lost one at training LOL), Jimmy Atkinson for reffing the game and more impotently for laying on the 3rd and final goal with a great driven cross. Well done to all the lads who went in fancy dress, and finally a big thanks to all of you for your commitment to the fans team.
